The first part of the Start Up Academy #3 finished successfully

The third Start Up Academy initiated in November. Two seminars were conducted in Kriva Palanka and Kochani. The participants started their journey of developing their business ideas into real startups. They learned skills for business mega trends, soft skills about communication in front of potential investors, the first steps into the business model canvas and how to develop a business idea in several steps. Then continuing on to the second seminar with effective entrepreneurship, market analyses, pricing strategy, analysis of the competition, determination of the location of the business and how to sell the product or the service.seminar 1 The sessions were conducted by experts and skillful people from the covered fields. Our guest speakers for this part of the Academy were Phd Makedonka Dimitrova from UACS, Vesna Kardalevska from CEED, Olivera Kostovska founder of Laundry Cafe Services, Maja Ilievska founder of Domino the Effect, Irina Janevska founder of ARNO, Phd Stojan Debarliev from Faculty of Economics Skopje, Hariton Gadjovski and Dimitar Kjosevski, Gorjan Stojanovski founder of kupioddoma.mk and Damjan Dano founder of IWM Network.FotorCreatedDuring the seminars, the participants had team building activities for getting to know each other, conducting business simulations for implementing the skills lerned on the seminars, movie nights for fruitful discussions and learning experiences from Macedonian entrepreneurs.

During the next period the participants would continue fulfilling their tasks and written assignments so they can better develop and analyse their business ideas. In the meantime they would have a chance to meet up with their potential mentors.
