Read about the experiences of our team
SWT Alumni Macedonia took part in a youth exchange in Poronin, Poland from 6th -115thMarch. The project brought together participants from five different countries: Macedonia, Slovakia, Italy, Hungary and Poland and had an ecological topic.
We participated in many workshops whose aim was to inspire us to improve our everyday practices and increase our ecological awareness. Those interactive workshops tackled the subjects of product packaging, selection of materials, creative use of old paper, Eco-travelling, climate refugees, renewable energy and textile waste.
In order to make the results of our project visible, we also planned and organised a visit in a local high school. There, we conducted a creative recycling workshop, presented Erasmus+ to the students and made a short presentations of our countries. Throughout the whole exchange, we had international evenings for every country present and we had the opportunity to try their national cuisine and dances, to learn about their history and famous attractions and hear some beautiful national songs.
In just one week we created lifelong friendships with people from all over Europe, explored the beauty of the Tatra Mountains and visited Zakopane – the winter capital of Poland and collected memories that will stay in our hears forever. We highly recommend everyone to take this opportunity and participate in a youth exchange or a training course because it is an amazing opportunity that challenges everyone to be the best version of themselves and personally develop in many ways.
